Renting on Digital Closet is simple. Browse our collection of designer pieces, select your dates, and place your order. The lender ships the item to you before your rental period begins. Wear it, enjoy it, and return it when your rental period ends. We provide prepaid return labels to make the process hassle-free.

Our platform features items across the full range of sizes, from XXS to 4XL and beyond. Each listing includes detailed measurements provided by the lender, so you can find the perfect fit. You can filter by size when browsing to see only items that work for you.

Lenders set their own daily rental prices, typically 3–5% of the item’s retail value per day. A 20% platform fee is included in the price you see, which covers payment processing, customer support, and our insurance protection program. Longer rental periods often come with better daily rates.

Every rental on Digital Closet is covered by our comprehensive insurance program at no extra cost. This covers accidental damage, minor stains, and small tears that may occur during normal wear. Both renters and lenders are protected, so you can enjoy your rental with peace of mind.

Returns are straightforward. At the end of your rental period, pack the item in the provided garment bag or packaging, attach the prepaid return label, and drop it off at your nearest courier point. You’ll receive a confirmation once the lender has received the item back.

Anyone can become a lender on Digital Closet. Simply create an account, verify your identity, and start listing your designer pieces. Take clear photos, add accurate descriptions and measurements, set your daily price, and your item will be live for renters to discover. You keep 80% of each rental fee.

Our platform features a wide range of designer and premium brands, from international luxury houses to emerging Romanian and CEE designers. You’ll find everything from evening gowns and cocktail dresses to tailored suits and statement accessories. The selection grows every day as new lenders join the community.

The minimum rental period is typically 3 days, though individual lenders may set their own minimums. Most rentals range from 3 to 14 days. You’ll see the available rental periods on each listing page when selecting your dates.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you book a rental, the full amount is charged upfront. Funds are held securely and released to the lender after the rental is completed and the item is returned in good condition. We support all major credit and debit cards.

If an item suffers accidental damage during your rental, our insurance program covers the cost of repair or replacement for normal wear incidents. Simply report the issue through your dashboard within 24 hours of your return. Intentional damage or theft is not covered and may result in charges to the renter.
